P&O Cruises in the Caribbean

P&O Cruises is one of the UK’s most popular cruise lines and they offer a variety of cruise itineraries, including those to the Caribbean.

When planning a Caribbean cruise with P&O Cruises, you can expect to visit various ports of call throughout the region. Typical destinations include popular Caribbean islands such as Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic, among others. These itineraries often offer a mix of beautiful beaches, cultural experiences, water sports, and opportunities for exploration and relaxation.

P&O Cruises has a fleet of ships, including larger vessels like ARVIA and IONA, as well as smaller ones such as Aurora and Ventura. Each ship offers a range of amenities, dining options, entertainment, and activities on board to enhance your cruise experience.

Many of P&O Cruises Caribbean sailings run between late October to early March, with most running 7 and 14-night itineraries out of destinations such as Barbados. The line also occasionally offers longer Caribbean sailings directly from and back to Southampton.

P&O Cruises Caribbean Highlights

The Caribbean offers a wealth of fun and interesting things to do and some of our favourite ports include:

Antigua

For sun-kissed golden beaches, look no further than Antigua. The island has a great vibe, reliable cab options and some good shopping opportunities. It’s also home to Nelson’s Dockyard and offers incredible island views from the Shirley Heights lookout point.

Barbados

Another island with beautiful beaches and one that’s always popular is Carlisle Bay. Barbados is also a great place to look beneath the surface on one of the island’s submarine adventures.

St Lucia

St Lucia offers some fantastic tropical adventures deep inside the rainforest and we highly recommend this experience if you want a beach day-break. There’s also Marigot Bay on offer, Pigeon Island National Park, and Rodney Bay.

Jamaica

Jamaica offers everything from out-of-this-world beaches to amazing food – you can’t visit Jamaica without trying authentic jerk chicken! Popular ports here include Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. Watersports are always high on the top to-do list in Jamaica, thanks to a wealth of natural waterways and falls.

St Kitts

This volcanic island offers its visitors something a little more rugged and some fantastic scenery, which is often enjoyed via the St Kitts Scenic Railway. If you’re in need of some retail therapy, St Kitts has one of the largest shopping options within the islands and offers everything from flip flops to local produce.
