Caribbean Cruising with P&O Cruises

The idea of winter sun is a huge appeal for many people, and for those who prefer to spend the likes of Christmas and New Year on holiday, rather than at home. To highlight this, we’re bringing the showcase to P&O Cruises today and the line’s fabulous collection of winter Caribbean cruises aboard Britannia and the brand-new Arvia.

Caribbean Fly-cruise holidays with PO Cruises

Arvia is offering a variety of 7-night Caribbean fly-cruise holidays from the islands of Antigua and Barbados. Ideal for those that want some winter sun but can’t take 2-weeks away from work. Highlighted ports on these itineraries include St Lucia, St Kitts, Martinique, and Curacao. These cruises depart from early January 2023.

Britannia will also be offering a selection of 14-night fly-cruise holidays, beginning in October 2022. Highlighted ports on these itineraries include St Kitts, St Vincent, St Lucia, and Antigua. All of Britannia’s 2-week Caribbean fly cruises start and end in Bridgetown, Barbados.

As Britannia will reposition herself for the winter cruise season in the Caribbean, it means she offers options for a part no-fly and part fly-cruise. You can join her to sail from Southampton, visiting the Canary Islands before making the journey across the Atlantic and stopping at several Caribbean islands, before disembarking in Barbados for your flight home. On the other side of the coin, you could fly out to Barbados for your Caribbean Island hopping before Britannia heads back across the Atlantic to Southampton. These Caribbean cruise options are great for those that also enjoy their days at sea! You can view them on our website.

Antigua

Exploring Caribbean Islands

There is so much to enjoy in the Caribbean, when it comes to experiences and opportunities, you’ll be completely spoilt for choice.

Antigua gives way to beautiful beaches, including Dickenson Bay, Galley Bay, and Deep Bay. Of course, there are others, but these are within range of St John’s, which is where your ship will dock – and has great shopping options. There are also breath-taking views to enjoy at Shirley Heights and history to uncover at Nelson’s Dockyard.

St Kitts is a shopper’s paradise! The entire port is basically one giant shopping park, but venture further and you’ll find local crafts and food (great chicken roti), pristine beaches and the wonderful St Kitts Scenic Railway.

Aruba

Where do we even start with the likes of St Lucia! There’s Pigeon Island National Park, Rodney Bay, Marigot Bay, Reduit Beach, Castries Central Market, Fort Rodney and so much more! It’s an island that offers a bit of everything, that’s for sure.

However you decide to spend your time in the Caribbean, we know you’ll enjoy it, but we do always advise you do some research on the places you will visit before joining your ship. You’d be surprised how many places you can uncover in one day just by planning your own itinerary and hiring a taxi for the day, or just a few hours. You’ll also find licensed cabs in the Caribbean are highly reliable and if you can arrange a pick-up should you wish to be dropped off and given time to explore.
