Does Sydney really need any introduction? Probably not, but here’s one anyway!
known as the Harbour City, Sydney is the largest, oldest, and most cosmopolitan city in Australia. Brimming with history, nature, culture, art, fashion, cuisine, and design, it is set next to miles of ocean coastline and sandy surf beaches. Home to the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, two of the most iconic structures on the planet.
Popular Asian cruise embarkation ports
Founded as a British trading colony in 1819, since independence Singapore has become one of the world’s most prosperous countries and boasts the world´s busiest port. Combining skyscrapers and subways of a modern, affluent city with a medley of Chinese, Malay, and Indian influences. With delicious food, incredible shopping and a vibrant nightlife scene, this Garden City makes a great pre-or-post-cruise place of adventure.
Don’t forget Sentosa Island! That is a full day out in itself and there’s so much to do, from rollercoasters to man-made beach days!
The port of Yokohama is located just 30-minutes away from Tokyo, making it an ideal cruise embarkation port.
Yokohama’s Chinatown is the largest in Japan and dates to the opening of the country in 1859. There’s a fascinating metropolis that brings high-tech visions of the future side by side with glimpses of old Japan – this is a destination that offers something for everyone. It really is just how you see it on TV and it’s incredibly easy to navigate, surprisingly.

The Big Apple awaits and if your cruise embarks here, we highly recommend you fly in a few days earlier and enjoy everything New York City has to offer, including Central Park, Wall Street, Chinatown, 5th Avenue, the Flatiron Building, Chrysler Building, Woolworth Building, the Empire State Building, the complex of buildings that make up the Rockefeller Center, and City Hall.
There’s also the option to take the ferry across to Ellis Island and New Jersey.
